JACQUEMUS SPRING 15 RTW

Oh man.... the Jacquemus SS15 RTW collection did not disappoint. There's a perfect mix of what I like to think of as editorial and wearable, aka something for everyone. Really into the stripes for styling, and white dress and baggy tops and trousers for the every day. The color palette is yet again mostly consistent of navy/blue, red, yellow and white, with hints of pink to welcome spring (I imagine). The effortless cool, yet playfulness aesthetic still is seems to still be in full force with the designer (Simon Porte Jacquemus) and I couldn't think of a brand that I'd be happier to kick start the Spring 2015 roundup's with!

SUZANNE RAE - THE NYC SHOWROOM EXPERIENCE

Suzanne Rae was kind enough to let me loiter around and take photos of her NYC showroom this week. So I made the most of it by bringing my camera along. Hope you like the little bts-style showroom peek, the insane view,  and a glimpse at the visionary herself #girlcrush.

SUZANNE RAE SS15 LOOKBOOK

Suzanne Rae is an amazing Brooklyn-based fashion designer whom I discovered for myself earlier this year. Her designs and aesthetic are the perfect balance of minimal, strong yet feminine, and for lack of a better word, cool. On top of her design skills, she also happens to be a wonderful person who is very open minded, easy going and professional all at the same time. In other words, time with Suzanne (in any capacity), is time well spent!

So you can imagine my surprise and delight when Suzanne asked me to style her SS15 lookbook!? I'm still pinching myself about being lucky enough to be part of the process and am so happy to share some of the results above. It's hard to convey my passion and genuine love for this collection with words only (as that's obviously not my strong point), but I'll try. The minimal silhouettes, the choice of fabric, the ease of wearability and the feeling of luxury is unlike any other. Her choice to have everything made in New York, and the actual practicality of the items (on top of the aesthetics) are just some of the things that should be celebrated about this collection, and brand as a whole.

See the complete lookbook at suzannerae.com, and be sure to check out UNFOLD - a contemporary dance video that showcases some of the pieces and inspiration behind the collection (goosebumps guaranteed).

More power to you girl! x

ZARA (TRF) SEPTEMBER LOOKBOOK

Really into the Zara TRF September (autumn) lookbook. Great color palette and silhouettes. Thinking that I'd pretty happily take any of the coats, and that whole pink pant situation. Something to look forward to as we say goodbye to Summer (insert hysterical sobbing here).
